Treatment Response Assessment through Multimodality Imaging of Tumor Proliferation, Hypoxia, Metabolism, and Perfusion

As the complexity of modern cancer treatment increases, molecular imaging is uniquely suited for the evaluation of radiation, chemo-, and molecular therapies. Some important imaging applications include FLT PET (a surrogate of cellular proliferation), CuATSM PET (hypoxia), FDG PET (metabolism), and DCE CT (vascular perfusion). This talk will demonstrate the use of these modalities for characterization of tumor phenotype and early response assessment in patients and animal models.
