Two Neuroscience Training Program students receive awards

Christine Swanson, a dissertator in the Neuroscience Training Program and Institute of Aging at Dr. Emborg's lab, was awarded a 2012 University of Wisconsin Graduate Student Peer Mentor Award. A reception honoring the awardees will be held on March 29, 2012 at the Memorial Union Main Tripp Commons.
Joel Shires received a Travel Award from the American Society for Neural Therapy and Repair to attend the Society's Annual Meeting in Tampa Florida, April 26-28, 2012. He will present the abstract entitled "Intraputaminal convection enhanced delivery of AAV5 to rhesus monkeys". Joel is a PhD student in the Neuroscience Training Program at Dr. Emborg's lab.
