Zack Rosenkrans wins multiple honors from SNMMI

Zack Rosenkrans, a graduate student advised by professors Weibo Cai and Reinier Hernandez, received two awards and had work highlighted in a press release at the 2021 Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) annual conference.

As a fourth-year student in the Pharmaceutical Sciences department, Zack was awarded the Alavi-Mandell Award that recognizes outstanding contributions from young scientists to the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, official journal of SNMMI. This publication award was given for the paper, "Total-Body PET Imaging for up to 30 Days After Injection of 89Zr-Labeled Antibodies" in the Cai group.

At the conference, Zack presented two abstracts that received additional honors. Zack’s abstract in the Cai group, "Semiconducting polymers enhance Cerenkov radiation energy transfer for multimodal cancer theranostics" was highlighted as one of only ten abstracts in a Press Release. Zack was also awarded third place in the Center for Molecular Imaging Innovation and Translation (CMIIT) Young Investigator Award Symposium for the abstract, "Bispecific INV721 antibody improves specific targeting in neuroblastoma to limit neuropathic pain" with Reinier Hernandez.
