East High Students Visit Department
On April 24, students from Madison's East High School visited our department. During their time here, they learned about what medical physics is and the tools we use to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease. This experience included hands-on demos with radiation measurement and therapy equipment, ultrasound imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging.
This outreach effort was led by a group of medical physics graduate students. The visit was supported by East High's Personalized Pathways Program and coordinated by Ms. Annie Potter, East High's Pathway Learning Coordinator.
