Individual Development Plan (IDP) For Doctoral / Post-Doctoral Scholars
All post-doctoral scholars, and graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree or masters degree funded by an NIH grant, are required to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in close consultation with their research advisors or mentors. Each IDP must be submitted to the Medical Physics department via the online education portal. We are providing, below, a couple of links that will enable you to create an IDP tailored to your research interests and career goals.
The Medical Physics Department has developed a template for our students and postdocs to use.
Step 1: Complete a Self Assessment as described in the link below. Results obtained from the Self Assessment have to be included in the first sections of the Medical Physics IDP Template. For students outside of our department, who are advised by Medical Physics faculty, if your department has an IDP, simply submit that one to us. We do ask that you also supply us with the information found under the professional development section of our online education portal.
Step 2: Work with your advisor to develop your IDP and once finished, submit it using our online education portal.
