Three teachers from La Follette High School visited the Medical Physics department to learn more about the role of physics in medicine and hopefully incorporate some concepts into their classrooms in the coming academic year. Graduate students and faculty organized and led the teachers through four stations focusing on MRI, ultrasound, radiation therapy, and radiation measurement. The teachers especially enjoyed seeing everyone’s enthusiasm for the field. Thank you to the many graduate student volunteers, faculty, and staff for their help with this event especially the station leaders: Robert Moskwa, Rashid Mukaddim, Wil Ferris, Leah Turner, Blake Smith, Autumn Walter, and Reed Kolany.
