Waunakee Library hosted a STEM day at Waunakee High School. Volunteers from the UW medical physics department spent a few hours of their Saturday to talk to young learners and their families about medical imaging, radiation detection, and treatment planning for radiation therapy. Other STEM groups at this event brought live snakes, showed a virtual reality simulation, and formed a dodecahedron out of balloons! Thank you to Blake Smith, Robert Moskwa, and community member Scott Zimmerman for helping with this event!
