Stephens Elementary hosted a Science Fair that included around 40 posters from its own students! The Medical Physics Outreach group joined these young scientists to share their passion for the field. Students and parents alike enjoyed learning about the geiger counter and antique radioactive Fiestaware as well as taking turns using the ultrasound system to search inside the heart phantom. Meanwhile the students taught us about lava caves and the water cycle! Thank you to Alex Kaeck and community member Scott Zimmerman for their help with this event!
